Our practice offers the following skin care and non-invasive procedures. The indications and flexibility of these products and procedures are ever expanding. Dr. Singer uses them throughout his practice both individually and in conjunction with the surgical procedures to provide his patients with that natural change they are looking to achieve.
BOTOX® is a non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. BOTOX® can also be used for hyperhydrosis (excess sweating) of the armpits and palm of the hands.
Injectable fillers are used to plump thin lips, enhance shallow contours, soften facial creases and wrinkles, or improve the appearance of recessed scars. Restylane®, Juvederm® and Radiesse® are used for this purpose.
Fat grafting will remove a patient's own fat and re-implant it where needed. It is typically extracted from body parts like the abdomen, thighs, or buttocks, and injected into another area that requires plumping, such as a patient's face. When used as a facial filler, fat grafting can improve the creased and sunken areas of the face, and add fullness to the lips and cheeks. Fat grafting is also commonly used in buttocks augmentation, rather than using an implant.
Chemical peels use a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. Chemical peels are helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and alphahydroxy acids (AHAs) are used for this purpose.
